I'm an illustrator, graphic recorder & freelance communications specialist.
A bit about me...
After a career that started in newspaper and TV journalism, I got a job with the British Red Cross as a media relations officer and rose through the ranks to become head of news. I then worked as head of communications for two other charities before going freelance in 2024 as a part time communications consultant so I could also pursue my passion for illustration. In the past year the illustration work has become my focus and I now work as an illustrator for businesses and charities and a graphic recorder, capturing the content of events, talks and workshops in words and pictures, to provide a lasting document of the day. I love being an illustrator and feel that it is a new way of helping to promote and raise awareness of the causes and issues I care about.
