I am a self employed bookkeeper who specialises in the hospitality sector. I have a great understanding of how the industry runs and how the bookkeeping needs to be recorded.
A bit about me...
I'm 38 years old and after spending 4 years in a company doing the bookkeeping I decided to go out on my own as self employeed. I have 17 years experience in varied accountancy roles so I have a great overview of all aspects of business.
I have an 8 year old son Stanley, who is my absolute world. I was looking for more of a work/life balance so took the plunge and went out on my own.
I am a huge Manchester City supporter thanks to Stanley so I spend lots of my time enjoying anything football with him.
I also enjoy eating out, holidays and the occasional lie in.

What's the most enjoyable thing about your work?
The most enjoyable thing is taking the stress and pressure away from people who don't understand their bookkeeping.
If you could give one single piece of advice to a new start up business, what would it be?
Never stop networking.
What do you do at week-ends?
I enjoy spending time with my family which usually involves something football related.
I spend every Sunday come rain or shine cheering Stanley on when he plays for our local team.
What was your first ever job?
My first ever job was in a hairdressers. I used to come home with all sorts of different coloured hair.
Where is your favourite place in the world and why?
My favourite place is anywhere my family is. It can be in a 5* resort in Cyprus on sitting on the sofa in the front room.
