A bit about me...
I'm a Chartered Accountant with over 12 years' experience in practice and commerce. As an auditor with Hazelwoods and Grant Thornton, in the UK and Australia, I worked with a wide range of clients from small businesses to large private and listed companies. Following a move to commerce in 2011 I worked as finance manager for a law firm and as as in-house accountant for a global engineering consultancy. In these roles I covered all areas of finance, including managment and financial reporting, budgeting, cashflow management and payroll.
Throughout my career I've been passionate about improving processes to make them as efficient as possible. I am a strong believer that financial reporting should be useful for a business rather than just for tax reporting.
Having started my professional life as a freelance French Horn player, I enjoy spending my spare time playing French Horn with a number of amateur groups in the Bristol area.
