Vine Business Support Ltd

Vine provide virtual assistant and bookkeeping services to small businesses. Our clients struggle to find the time to keep on top of their administration and basic tasks and engage our services to take away the stress that can come when things build up.

A bit about me...

Having worked in marketing for over 10 years, in 2018 I set up Vine Business Suport in partnership with my dad, Paul. I was looking for a new challenge and when I looked at all of the things that I had enjoyed in my career, the majority had been the organisation and admin elements involved in account management and therefore we decided to take these skills and set up a business to support other small businesses who find managing all of these tasks to themselves too stressful or time consuming.

I have a passion for keeping things ordered and organised and find it very rewarding when you can see that implementing simple systems can really help a client.

A bit more about me

What's the most enjoyable thing about your work?
The variety! There is so much scope to being a VA that each client brings their own needs and challenges and so no two days are ever the same. This not only keeps me on my toes but also allows me to develop and learn new skills to suit the needs of my current clients.

What is your vision for your business?
I currently work alongside my Dad, at some stage he will be looking to step back and so the vision for our business is that it becomes something that I can sustain by myself in the future and to make it a success!

If you could give one single piece of advice to a new start up business, what would it be?
Trust your instincts. It is too easy when you first start to say 'yes' to every opportunity that comes along because you feel you have to but, if something doesn't feel right it is ok to say no to it. Working with clients or on projects that you do not feel comfortable with can lead to problems further down the line.

What made you join WMB and how do you plan to make the most of the network?
I am looking to expand my network, not only to bring new clients into my own business but also to build a network on contacts that I can refer clients to - being able to give them options when they need additional help is a big part of building the client relationship.

What do you do at week-ends?
Spend time with family, go for walks, the cinema or watching rugby.
