A bit about me...

Results driven, highly ambitious, successful Senior Manager with a wealth of knowledge and experience within the work based learning and apprenticeship industry who has a veritable track record of exceeding customer expectations for each and every employer and each and every learner. Proven track record in succeeding within a fast paced and target driven environment. Instrumental in developing and managing recruitment strategy’s subsequently implemented into staff operational deliverables, allowing them to perform / achieve operational targets and establish relationships with new businesses and partner agencies. Taken a full part in three apprenticeship training providers successfully achieving Ofsted Outstanding grade.

What's the most enjoyable thing about your work?
Other than getting out the house each day i enjoy changing young peoples lives by supporting them in finding their dream career. Having been an Apprentice myself i am passionate about giving others the same opportunity that i had.

What is your vision for your business?
My hope is that Professional Apprenticeships will be a household name for Apprenticeships in England. I want to be the first company that people think of when they think about Apprenticeships.

If you could give one single piece of advice to a new start up business, what would it be?
Take that initial gamble, do not let the "What ifs" get in the way - If you have a plan then go for it and don't let anyone or anything hold you back.

Which one phrase or quote sums up your attitude to business life?
Failing to prepare is preparing to Fail

What made you join WMB and how do you plan to make the most of the network?
Having been to many Networking groups previously and not felt truly comfortable due to being a young women within business i wanted to find a group which i fitted into and as soon as i visited WMB i instantly felt welcome and in my comfort zone.

What do you do at week-ends?
Weekends are all about consuming as much chocolate into my body as possible before Monday comes back around and i go back to the gym feeling guilty.

If you were stranded on a desert island, what 2 luxury items would you take?
If i was ever lucky enough to be stranded on a desert island i would want my lipstick and a bag of haribos.

What book are you currently reading?
I am currently reading Girl Code: Unlocking the Secrets to Success, Sanity, and Happiness for the Female Entrepreneur.

What book(s) would you recommend?
The Book i am currently reading (Girl Code) is by far the most inspiring book for women within business.

Who's your personal hero and why?
There is only one answer i could ever write to this Question and that is my Mum. rnMy mum is the reason i am where i am today. Through her continuous support, guidance and constant love i know there is no way i would be in the position that i am in now.

What is your worst experience in business or work?
Earlier this year i thought i would try my first ever Mailshot "What could possibly go wrong" i thought.rnI couldn't have been more wrong. I accidentally sent hundreds of emails to my contacts in the TO: box instead of BCC: therefore everyone's data became visible to each other. Unfortunately some people didn't accept my apology and it went viral causing 3 days of constant abuse from unhappy people. Woops

What was your first ever job?
My first ever job was working in a local chip shop however my first "proper" job was a Hairdressing Apprentice.

Where is your favourite place in the world and why?
New York would have to be my all time favourite location in the world. Normally around Christmas time as i like Rockefeller Ice Rink, Times Square and of course Central Park.
